This remarkable young man was selected to represent The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart due to his determination and passion for advocating on behalf of the 62 kids treated every minute at the 170 member Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart has Child life specialist on staff who work with doctors, nurses, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team to meet the unique emotional, developmental, and cultural needs of the children and families in our care. Learn more here!
The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart Neonatal Transport Unit, purchased through the generosity of Walmart/Sam’s Club, the Caduceus Society of the Emerald Coast, and Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, travels, on-average, 3,310 miles per month – that’s 24 round trips to Disney World every year!

Our new five-story tower opened to the public in July 2014, and houses 115 private rooms, 40 of which are designated for adult critical care patients.
Sacred Heart performed the area’s first open heart surgery in 1972, and later the first minimally invasive surgeries to remove the gallbladder and appendix. It also opened the first outpatient surgical center in 1980.
Sacred Heart’s NICU is designated by the State of Florida as a Level III facility, authorized to provide the highest level of care. We have been designated as one of 12 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers in Florida and the only one in the Panhandle. The next closest centers are in Jacksonville and Gainesville – a nearly six-hour drive away.
Sacred Heart Health System is committed to giving compassionate care to all, regardless of their ability to pay, through services such as our Pediatric Clinic, Women’s Care Center, SENIORSpirit!, Parish Nurse, and Prescriptions for the Poor programs.
Nearly 5,000 team members and approximately 1,000 affiliated physicians and their staffs serve the mission of Sacred Heart.

The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart delivers more than 3,400 babies annually, and cares for more than 5,000 critically ill and injured newborns and children every year.
The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is the only one of its kind in Northwest Florida, with the next closest centers in Jacksonville and Gainesville – a nearly six-hour drive away.
Sacred Heart Health System is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and regional centers of excellence for Stroke, Cardiac, and Cancer care, among many others in Pensacola, Port St. Joe, Panama City and Destin on the Emerald Coast.
